You finally made up to the ‘free for all’ section.
I’ve promised it, and I’ve done it!
I prepared some of my work as wallpapers for free download and for free use. As I mentioned before, this will be the stuff for your free use and nothing else due to the fact, that I simply haven’t got the time for answering any questions on whether anyone can use image ‘xyz’ for free or not. So if you’re tending to use one of my images, just take it from this section as you may not have to e-mail me asking for it…..
But please make sure to follow some simple requests I have:
1.Never ever make any commercial profit by my art! The use of the images shown in this section is only for private use, and/or for non-profit websites!
2. Don't link directly to the images on my site. This takes my bandwidth and slows it down for viewers on your site as well. Instead, right click and copy the image to your hard drive and upload it to your own server!
3.You are allowed to show the art posted in this section on your own homepage, but you are not allowed to use it for your own homepage design - means, showing my work in a kind of gallery on your site by giving me full credit is welcome – but cropping and modifying the image making your own design with it is not allowed! So again - if you use the image public-visible on your own homepage, don't make any modifications on the image other than proportional resizing, even if it is just wallpaper – if you don’t like it the way it is, just don’t download it! – If you just use the image on your own pc as a desktop wallpaper, or if you want to print it out and hang it on your wall, feel free to do so either way you like ;-)
4. If you use an image on your site visible for the public, you must have a “© Uwe Jarling” on any page you display my art!
5. This is not required, but if you want to do me a favour, link back to my website so you can make an artist grateful and very happy real quick ;-) if you want to use banners, there are tons of it in my “Stuff Section/Link Banners”, feel free to use them. These requests may sound very scary to you, and it might look like I am a veeeeeeery important person – I am not! – I am always more than flattered if people ask for my art, cause it shows me that some like what I do, and that’s what its all about! But it happened too often in the past that my images were used without my permission, and even that some sold my art as desktop themes or things like that - and that’s when an artist like me gets the short end of the stick!
So please respect my rights as an artist and follow those requests I have…
The new promise is, that I’ll be keen on enlarging this section from time to time :-)
